
A man was arrested late Monday night in north Phoenix for fatally stabbing another man, according to Phoenix police.
Officers responded to a call just before 11 p.m. near 2400 East Union Hills Drive, where they found 54-year-old Henry Lawrence with a stab wound. He was transported to the hospital by the Phoenix Fire Department, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers later found the suspect, 41-year-old Matthew Ryan Fain, in the area and took him into custody.
Fain was booked on one count of first-degree murder. His bond was set at $1 million.
Phoenix police described the killing as brutal.
